Join Our Community

Get involved as little or as much as you like

We welcome you to be part of our family. We're small enough that your presence, talents, and needs will be seen and embraced. But we're mighty in our search for deeper discipleship and meaningful time together. Join us in worship, service, and spiritual growth.

Worship

Engage in Worship

11:00am on Sundays

Kids (and their noise and cheerios) welcome

Lots of easy parking. Accessibility is key for us.

Wear what makes you feel ready to worship.

Our worship services are designed with new and long-time Christians alike in mind. Our service leans traditional (think hymns, a bulletin, preaching, and prayer) but our casual atmosphere (plenty of laughter, jeans and t-shirts) enables people to feel comfortable learning about Jesus. Join us in celebrating God's presence through prayer, music, and reflection.

It can get chilly with our air conditioner on, so bring a sweater if you run cold.

Good Stuff to Know

Children, youth, young adults, and everyone else is welcome to participate in worship.

Communion is on the first Sunday of each month. Everyone is welcome to Communion. You do not need to be a member of our church or any church to participate in Communion. Jesus sets the tale for all of us.

We have occasional Family Lunches that will be put on the calendar and announced. We'd be thrilled to share a table and a dish with you!

Building Faithful Connections

First Presbyterian Church is a warm and welcoming congregation in Winnsboro, TX. Our church is a place where faith and fellowship intersect, creating a community centered on love and worship. Explore our rich history, engaging services, and vibrant programs that bring us closer to God and each other.

Our Mission and Vision

We are a loving, generous, accepting congregation that strives for spiritual growth through sharing God’s Word.  This is achieved through the pulpit and lay-led classes. We offer two Sunday school classes before worship service.

We are committed to our youth and want to continue to build our youth program through solid Christian instruction, including Presbytery-sponsored events.  The church offers to sponsor high school members to attend  SHYC (Senior High Youth Connection) and Synod Youth Workshops.  Middle and high school youth are invited to attend two retreats a year at Camp Gilmont, a Presbyterian campground located nearby.  The church also has a tradition of offering to send  young people to summer camp at Camp Gilmont.  In addition, several of our members serve at Camp Gilmont as counselors,  volunteers  and staff.
